Your Legal Rights

We will develop in this area of our website several informational pieces designed to educate the public about topics within the law that most commonly affect them. You will see below a list of the topics we have selected, and you are welcome to contact us with ideas about others on which you would like information. We will be completing the topics one by one and will post them as soon as they are completed. For the time being, please consider the list below as a good set of questions to consider and the links which follow as a place to get general information.

These topics have been selected in the hope that you will find the information here useful. This general information is not designed to replace going to law school or hiring a well-qualified lawyer when you need one. It should give you some ideas to consider so that the choices you have to make out there on the street don't take you by surprise.

This information should not be construed to be legal advice about any particular set of facts or your particular case. Getting advice from a lawyer requires first that we get some information from you. We are in no position to do that here. Therefore, I take no more responsibility for the use you choose to make of this material than your 7th grade civics teacher took for all that information he or she gave you in class.
